Kristen Bertoloni, Assoc.Agent
Trident Media Group
(Kristen's Pitch Slots are FULL!)
Kristen is open to submissions and eager to find projects she’s passionate about. Kristen is looking for commercial fiction, specifically horror, thriller/suspense, and romance.
She loves captivatingly creepy stories like THE YELLOW WALLPAPER by Charlotte Perkins Gilman as well as the gothic elements of MEXICAN GOTHIC by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Kristen is looking for horror novels with dark twists, ghosts, and romance.
For mysteries/thrillers, Kristen is interested in ambiguous endings, contained whodunits, and twists that leave the reader guessing. She particularly admires stories like NEVER LIE by Freida McFadden and SURVIVE THE NIGHT by Riley Sager.
For romance, Kristen loves second chances, beach settings, and a coming-of-age story. Stories from authors such as Carley Fortune, Emily Henry, and Christina Lauren. Kristen is also interested in crossover romance that has fantastical elements similar to Stephanie Garber’s ONCE UPON A BROKEN HEART and Rachel Gillig’s ONE DARK WINDOW.
Kristen is open to nonfiction submissions. Her interests in nonfiction lie in respectful true crime or collections of essays that are personal and poignant.

Katrina Lemaire , Agent Apprentice
Corvisiero Agency
(Katrina's pitch slots are full!)
Katrina holds a Bachelor's (Honours) in English and Creative Writing and a Publishing Certificate from Toronto Metropolitan University. With a history of sales, marketing, and an insatiable desire for literature, she inevitably found herself pursuing a path in publishing. As a writer, Katrina has engaged in the social and theoretical aspects of creative writing, and is currently a member of the Canadian Authors Association. Known for her poetry and short fiction, her works have appeared in Plenitude Magazine, Soft Star Magazine, Crow & Crosskeys Magazine, and other places.
When it comes to her taste in books, Katrina is often found devouring the pages of decadent fantasies set in worlds with high or low stakes, dark academia with cult/occult aspects, speculative fiction, horror of all kinds, graphic novels, gothic literature, noir fiction, paranormal, romance, urban fantasy, mystery, and anything that leans towards the uncanny. Within these genres, specifically in crossover YA and Adult, Katrina is always looking for more queer and BIPOC representation that feature tenacious and palpable characters.

Alexandra Grana, Assoc. Agent
P.S. Literary Agency
(Alexandra's pitch slots are FULL!)
I’m an associate agent actively building my list in adult fiction and nonfiction.
On the whole, I gravitate toward commercial genre fiction and am seeking to expand my list in that space. I love Gothic fiction of all kinds and crave horror through immersive atmosphere and prose. I’m drawn to big, messy feelings and characters screwing up over and over before succeeding. I’m craving intricately told stories—whether that be puzzle pieces or interpersonal drama or worldbuilding, I’m looking for many moving pieces.
In nonfiction, I’m drawn to enthusiastic expertise about niche topics across genres. I’d love to see projects like FROM HERE TO ETERNITY by Caitlin Doughty, YOU WERE BORN FOR THIS by Chani Nicholas, and THE RADIUM GIRLS by Kate Moore in my inbox.
I’m especially looking for stories from BIPOC and queer authors.

Laurie Dennison, Assoc. Agent
Creative Media Agency
(Laurie's Pitch Slots are FULL!)
After earning a master’s degree from the University of Florida, I began my career as an English teacher. I then spent over ten years working as a freelance writer and editor in desktop publishing, including serving as a Pitch Wars mentor for five years. In 2022 I attended the Denver Publishing Institute, leading to an internship at Creative Media Agency, Inc. before stepping into my current role as an associate agent and internship coordinator at CMA.
I love upmarket writing, complex characters, and immersive settings. I enjoy upbeat, positive stories but don’t shy away from darker themes. Complicated relationships and family dynamics are a particular interest of mine, and I appreciate character development that is directly and organically integrated with the plot. In nonfiction, I’m interested in authors who are specialists in their fields, have strong platforms, and can help me see the world in a new light.
We live in a diverse world, and I want to see diversity of all types authentically represented in all genres; I’d love to champion minority voices as I build my list.

Cathie Hedrick-Armstrong, Agent
Marsal Lyon Literary
(Cathie's pitch slots are full!)

Before I sign every author, we have a “heart to heart” conversation about the importance of communication. For me, the open lines of communication are the most important aspect of any relationship, and an agent-client relationship must have this key component to be successful. My clients will always be able to count on me for honesty–sometimes painful, but always done with as much kindness as possible–and I absolutely require the same, asking that they never hold back their thoughts or concerns. I must understand fully what their concerns are in order to address them, and a straight-forward, honest approach is always the best way to resolve issues or conflict, if any arise. We are partners in this journey, and partners must communicate effectively to be successful.
